Running day

hey all
I attended another running day at AMRA and got the inspiration to run trains in the garden again

here are some pics

also I'd like to review the Newquida cars

I saw these a while back on places like MLS and thought that they could be a nice addition to the roster and if I ever had the chance to get one I would, I saw a few in shops and they where way overpriced. like second hand LGB priced finally a few came up on ebay and I got a three passenger coaches and two tank cars the cars are nicely moulded the wheels run true and the graphics are very nice although the spelling of shell could be a little better (its spelt shall on the model) they are well worth the money and seeing as they where all $30 I dont think i can complain about any of them

those who have more talent

a beautifully finished climax made by Bachman. unfortunatly I did not get the name of the owner (and presumed detailerr) of this fine machine, the photo was take at the AMRA's Glen Iris clubrooms

When I arrived I was struck by the amount of G scale track they had shoe-horned into the area and the amount of trains they had running in view (around five) I immediatly considered joining to allow e to run some of my garden railway stuff. But alas the running days for the garden railway are on the same day as the running day for the miniture railway, so I had to scrap that idea but I have recently attended a junior running day on their stonnington valley layout, (HO scale)it was a fantastic experience and I will become a member and attend these running sessions on a regular basis.

cheers

welcome
